Our children tend to outgrow durable items like walking boots long before the boots wear out. We thought that rather than discard the boots, we would have a collection at the 7th so when your child outgrows his/her own boots you could select replacement ones from the scheme and add your outgrown boots for someone else to use.
The scheme is now open to all sorts of equipment, not just walking boots. You can add waterproofs, wellies, wetsuits, basically anything that is outgrown before it wears out.
The scheme is very kindly administered by Judith Plimmer. If there is something on the list that is of interest to you then get in touch with Judith by email at judith@plimmer.me.uk
This scheme is an exchange so you must add an item in return for the one that you take. You can either take your item to Judith or you can store it at your own house. Judith has a limited amount of space to store these items so if you can store the item at your house then that would be preferable. Judith will add the details of your item to the list and it will become available for another Group member to use.
When your child outgrows the item that you took in the exchange, please consider returning it to the scheme. You might be able to get a replacement straight from us!
